The ACA Promises Really Do Come True
I’m sitting in my chevy in the middle of town
The light is red – I’m lookin’ around
I see a man – with his fist in her face
Her tears runnin’ down – such a disgrace
In the grocery store, two-year old in the cart
Mom’s snappin’ back with a tone so tart
The baby’s cryin’ but mom doesn’t care
The drama builds as we all just stare
Sittin’ on my back porch, lookin’ at the stars
A loud door slam, he’s home from the bar
Next thing I hear is a man and a wife
Yellin’ at each other, buildin’ more strife
Drivin’ by a wreck out on 93
A man yellin’ at the woman, sorry as can be
Head in hand, she’s really in a mess
He goes on and on, she feels less and less
Listenin’ to the news and ya know it’s bad
Blamin’ each other for the trouble we’ve had
Hate’s overflowin’ and I’m gettin’ pretty tired
These ugly words got everybody fired..
Up to no good because hatin’ the thing
No peace of mind, there’s battles to blame
Sounds like my childhood right to the core
No love there either – on any floor
I went to a meetin’ – they talk The Solution
Get rid of resentments and mind pollution
I can’t love any body ‘til I love myself
I quit isolatin’ – alone on the shelf
Practice kindness – love can be true
Fellow Travelers together, like me and you
Trustin’ in God and finally lettin’ go
So grateful I’m here and it’s good to know…
The ACA Promises really do come true
Thank you Higher Power and ACA. Amen
